Selling Salt & Rice at HH Hospital

salt-rice_g.jpg

Yes, we’ll be selling at HH Hospital.
No, HH stands not for Hamburg,
But for Haven of Hope in Hong Kong.

Got to know that we could sell there,
When desperately at a loss,
Right after dear Aunt had passed away.

And met this ultra-friendly social worker P,
Who spent her after-working hours
To discuss with me fair-and-healthy foods.

And so I got to know about this place,
A place I trust when Aunt was still alive,
A sanctuary for grieving over her and selling goodies alike.

Yes, we’ll be selling our goodies at Haven of Hope on June 5th,
Among which, new arrivals:

Natural Sea Salt & Red, Pink, Purple Rice

    Liebe Winnie!

Your ever-there support helps to booster our morale,
Which is not the highest at the moment …

We have imported some rice extra for some non-profit-making org.
But I found out last night they had found some other rice source meanwhile …

ONE OF THOSE FAIR TRADE VENTURES AGAIN [sigh]
    (Sh! Don’t tell my children!)

Stephen and I will only have to work harder on eating rice …
Maybe Sammy and Doggie can help as well …

    Yum! Yum!

I just lunched with Margaret and a friend who buys organic products for her daughter. Are your extra rice 半糙米? I’ll see if she can scoop up some.

  4. Fanny-Min said,

We have all rice ‘extra’ :(

Red Rice and Purple Rice are unpolished 糙米
And Pink Rice is semi-polished 半糙米

Pink Rice can be cooked like white rice
    It is therefore most popular

    What people don’t know is:
Red Rice does not need that much soaking either
And Purple Rice tastes like red bean when cooked into congee

They are not only YUM YUM
    They are full of nutrients
    More such rice
    Less reliance on supplements!
