really depressed

so many good products from Panay Fair Trade Centre
so much effort spent on product developing
testing, working on labels, calculating
how much to order, when to ship, and how to ship
and all the research done
and promotional papers written

only to find the shipment still stranded in Manila
when it is supposed to have arrived
and air cargo rates are outrageous
and FarmFest 2009 is already next week

and just as I suddenly found myself
in the Slough of Despond
the phone rang and a friend called
and it looked as if
she was really going ahead
with her plan of opening a mini shop

a mini shop big enough to harbour our goodies
so maybe it is a good thing
that these goodies do not arrive in time
maybe I have actually ordered them for her …
