米山健一和退休香港公務員黎華棟談起此事，黎二話不說當起義工，負責向港人呼籲，並接收來自港人的物資，結果一呼百應。

衣服嬰兒食品最缺

「最大問題是衣服及嬰兒食品，連香港都沒奶粉了，真的很難做呢……」黎華棟指截至昨晚七時，已約有三十箱物資，準備今日送往日本。

黎華棟指，經過米山和日航及速遞公司協商，他們都願意免費將物品付運，惟最遲一批要在周日前寄出。因此他們都呼籲市民盡快捐出衣服、毛毯等。

居港六年的伊藤惠這天帶同兒子來捐出衣服及食物，她表示有朋友住在福島，現在仍未能和他們聯絡，十分擔心。

市民若想捐獻，可致電熱線92428365。

Message of Peace Chiselled out of an Obstinate Rock

‘At the entrance of the US Embassy Nairobi, Kenya, is a grand art piece,
Twelve gigantic birds closely kneaded together, dancing, interlocked.
‘Dancing Birds’ created by Kenyan sculptor Elkana Ong’esa,
Prompted by tragic eruptions following the 2007 elections.
On massive hard rock gentle carvings imploring peace.
Via the Exhibition in HK the artist declares by deed,
